Looking beyond the horizon, moving things together, bundling know-how or supporting each other – there are many good reasons to cooperate. For years we’ve successfully cooperated with our customers. Furthermore, we’re also supporting other partnerships and networks. Here are some examples:
DIN
MENTOR is a member of DIN. The German Institute for Standardization as a technical-scientific association is responsible for technical standardization in Germany and for representing German interests in international and European standards organizations.
LED Light for you
MENTOR is a certified member of the OSRAM competency network “LED light for you”. Prospective customers will find partners who bring along sufficient experience in Opto-Electronics. The gathered know-how will be provided for any technician – in industry, trade and automotive – to use LEDs as a high-quality source of light and display component with all its benefits.
Wirtschaftskreis Erkrath
MENTOR is an active member of the Wirtschaftskreis Erkrath e.V. (Erkrath Business Association). The WKE is an association of companies based in Erkrath which mainly wish to contribute to improving the conditions for Erkrath as a business location and the attractiveness of the town. The intention is to contribute to the development of Erkrath as a business location and turn it into an attractive, self-confident “brand”.
VDI
MENTOR is represented through its staff in the largest association of engineers and scientists in Germany. At the moment, several members of MENTOR’s staff are actively working in the Fachausschuss Optische Systeme für LED-Beleuchtungen (Expert Committee on Optical Systems for LED lighting). The objective is for a group of experts to develop a VDI guideline that supports non-experts with the many issues involved in implementing optical LED lighting systems.
VDID
The association of the VDID consists of close to 500 industrial designers and industrial designers from companies and design firms. The association considers itself a competence center for its members and works as an intermediary between industry and designers as well as between politics and business. MENTOR supports the work of the VDID within the framework of a sponsoring membership.
German Design Council
Founded in 1953 on the initiative of the German Bundestag, the German Design Council is an independent, internationally active institution and one of the world’s leading competence centres for communication and knowledge transfer in the field of design. Its circle of founders consists of more than 300 renowned companies from a wide range of sectors in the design industry. In 2018 MENTOR was accepted into the circle of founders by the meeting of founders and has been part of this network of experts ever since.
