Company policy
Basic values and guidelines
1
We want to recognize all customer preferences clearly, even those remaining unspoken, and support them as to their final development.
2
We permanently try to fulfill customer preferences by being innovative, using resources sparingly, with new but also existing ideas as well as component modules and to develop standard components.
3
We perceive our suppliers as important partners in adding value and emphasize accordant aptitude. According to valuation we will actively support important partners in their development of quality.
4
We regard not only external customers to be our primal target orientation but also consider each single division of our company group an important partner within the processes of adding value.
5
Quality management strives for permanent construction design allowing process-safe and at all time traceable/comprehensible operating sequences in serial/mass production. The process itself is optimized until it is certified by an approval.
6
We want to be a reliable partner in the monitoring of projects and available for our customers with short response time and competent support.
7
The management of our company as well as our executives feel obliged to guarantee not only the technical course but also to bring together all single targets/milestones multidisciplinary and geared.
8
Our Target is risk minimization of possible accidentally caused damages through technical and organizational precaution.
9
External companies on our sites have to observe statutory environmental regulations as well as our internal regulations for environmental protection.
10
We feel constrained to the code of conduct and declare this binding for all our suppliers.
11
Information security makes us more confident and competent in our actions and helps us to ensure that we meet the requirements our customers impose on us in terms of confidentiality, availability and integrity. Information security also protects us against risks that limit our legal capacity.
12
The environment and safety at work have the highest priority for us when implementing projects. This applies to the product design, to the auxiliary materials and working materials used and to the required processes, through to packaging. The use and handling of substances and chemicals with restricted use is undertaken for our part respecting the applicable national and international laws and directives such as REACH and ROHS.
13
Environmental management is likewise an important element. We commit to continually undertake improvements to be able to realize regular optimization besides legal requirements. Thus we meet customer requirements and preferences, protect our staff and treat our environment with care.
14
The power supply to our companies is for the most part supplied using green, ecologically-generated energy. As part of national implementation of the German renewable energies act (Erneuerbare Energien-Gesetz, EEG), Mentor has designated an Energy Officer in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1, who undertakes the necessary energy audits in accordance with DIN EN 16247 in collaboration with an external energy auditor. At all times, the choice of new machines and plant required is made, wherever possible and sensible, giving consideration to the aspect of energy consumption.
15
Avoiding environmental damage through the correct handing of water-polluting substances and regular maintenance of environmentally-relevant plant is continuously optimised. The water consumption required by plants and buildings is recorded and optimised if necessary through technical or organisational measures, following evaluation.
16
Emissions into the local environment are reduced as far as possible or feature only modestly in our production processes. Plants generating emissions are regularly maintained and checked. We select the transport and logistics companies who work for us having regard to environmental compatibility, and in that respect the use of vehicles with low exhaust emissions is a criterion.
17
Our waste management is geared to the applicable laws and local authority requirements. We dispose of regular waste in accordance with the Duales System (closed-cycle economy). Hazardous waste is handled by licensed disposal companies required to keep disposal records, and is sent for reuse.
